Hamilton prepares for the annual Labor Day celebration at Butler County Fairgrounds with a breakfast of picnics and vast amusements. The parade is canceled to save cost and effort, but the day promises music, games, a large outdoor platform, a ferris wheel, and a showcase country store run by Ray Wunderlich.
The Tipp City Fireworks Company of Tippecanoe City, Ohio will supply a grand Labor Day display at the fairgrounds. The program includes six aerial bomb shells, numerous four, six, eight and nine inch shells, festive colors, and a finale with large aerial shells and special bouquets. An automobile is to be awarded as part of the day’s events.
Colonel H. S. Graves of Yale forest school warned at a Ottawa conference that timber in the United States is cut four to five times faster than it regrows. He noted three quarters of soft wood forests are gone, yet the U S still holds a supply second only to Russia.
