Tax Offices To Be Opened Soon For Butler County Real Estate
Butler County real estate tax offices to open in Middletown and Oxford within days for the semi annual collection. County treasurer J. W. Wendel announced collections to begin this week after mailed statements. Thirty days are allowed for payment. Current half year taxes total 1 089 754 50 with 102 808 41 already collected since prior books closed.

AFL Building Trades Bans Jurisdictional Strikes For Defense Projects
The American Federation of Labor Building and Construction Trades Council voted to ban jurisdictional strikes on defense work and to allow non union workers until unions supply members. Avert Strikes Green Urges Unions to Mediate
