Red Cross Junior Contest Opens Burra Event
The Burra Red Cross Junior competition opened at 3:30 pm with Mrs. A Tennant and Mrs. Swift in attendance. Adelaide guest Brian Swift spoke on war work and funds, praising Burra volunteers and the Junior contest as a novel, effective fundraiser. Children performed songs and dances, and a tea was served as the hall displayed flowers and catering.
