Hallett Red Cross Junior Dance Draws Strong Attendance

The Hallett Red Cross Junior Drive event held on Wednesday night October 21 sponsored by Section 5 raised £18 10s 8d for Bren da Richards. Attendances from several districts were noted and a Circular Waltz Competition produced a winner with 2 Miller and Miss J Civer receiving no votes. Proceeds from the contest reached £9 7s 11d. A supper was served at seven o clock five ladies prepared the meal and dancing continued until 1 am with donations from Mrs Gwen Smyth Miss Northmore Mrs Parker and Mrs Needham.

Pleasant Sumday Amateur Hour Held at Ulooloo

The Pleasant Sumdsy Amateur Hour took place at Ulooloo at the home of Mrs. G. Owen Smyth with Mrs. Ron Kellock as secretary. A large audience enjoyed acts on the verandahs and garden, raising £1 by event time and £16 0 10 from afternoon tea and fruit, with visitors from the district including Burra.

Booborowie FFCF Unit Holds Postponed October Meeting

The Booborowie Unit PCI of the FFCF met on a Saturday in October instead of the usual Wednesday. The hall effort on October 1st and the auction sale in September were noted with proceeds shared with the Red Cross. The unit thanks donors for sale goods and asks supporters to keep the rescheduled dates.

Mt Bryan Red Cross Baby Contest Wins Noted

Mt Bryan Red Cross branch drew a large crowd last Wednesday to hear early baby contest results. Northern winner was Shirley Cockrum with 9 196 votes, South winner Stoke, grand totals show multiple babies with high counts. A dance netted funds to split between two winning babies and organizers thanked helpers from Burra.

Dance for Red Cross Junior Competition Night Recap

A Friday event hosted by the Dance for Red Cross Junior Competition featured performances by Mra Corry Ms Field and dancers from the Missi esville Set Jeam Sommer ville Goa Qreves Chloris ill Win Lee with music by Mr. D Welds Orchestra and Mr. Alex Bevan. Attendees included Albert Bruce F time at the ticket office and gallery staff Joy Pascoe Dorothy Southall. The Circular Waltz was won by Miss Elva Butlagd and Mr. Charles Gru Supper served at 10:30 under Mrs. S Beroop. Decorations highlighted by scarlet pink roses and antirrhinums. Promoters thank Mr. G S Dane for ads. profit was approximately Elo.
