Arrest of self-styled doctor at 'Bula on Douglas Avenue
A man identified as a doctor was arrested by Sat. Bonytion and MO. Dosdrell on Thursday night on Douglas Avenue, taken into custody by Military Police. He was sent to Adelaide for charges. Police seized a stethoscope and gloves found in his possession, and evidence indicated he treated a Mr. Berryman at Gawler South using various powders.

Short Lived Freedom on Burra Road Evades Police
On the Mount Bryan Burra road near Burra at dawn on 8 November 1942 three soldiers named Gin Sam Terowie were chased by Police and Civil authorities. They were spotted by J M Gebhardt and intercepted by George Wooton and Constable Brooks, then fled into scrub. Military Police later took charge. George Wooton is noted as brother of the late Dave Wooton who died in New Guinea.
