Burra Rifle Club Hosts Picnic Shoot at Riverton Range
Burra Rifle Club members and wives travelled by motor bus to Riverton Rhynie range for a picnic shoot against Riverton. Weather caused misty rain and light changes, affecting scores with 800 and 600 yard ranges used. Captain Collins thanked Riverton Club and ladies, hoping for a return visit, as scores favored Riverton on the day. Next Saturday Burra will shoot the second to last stage of the B C Collins Trophy over 500 and 600 yards.

Burra Bowling Club Caps Season With Trophy Presentation
The Burra Bowling Club finished its season with a trophy ceremony on the local greens led by President E. E. Finch. Club captain announced that Burra had won the Association pennant, with J. Pascoe winning championships and N. Woodards securing consistency and other prizes as Hallett used a strong finishing run to overpower Burra 8 19 to 6 0.
