The Burra Record notes it is published every Tuesday afternoon at the Office, Commercial Street, Burra. Frank Teare Marston is proprietor, with telephone number 46 and box 40.
Goldsbrough Mori & Co reports March 7 market with large local and outside turnout. Sheep yarding totaled 2518 with wide price ranges and brisk competition. noted excellent clearance and prices near late quotations. Yarded livestock included 343 Manunda bred wethers, numerous ewes and lambs, merino and crossbred stock, plus horses and cattle sold.
Last week the paper carried a notice inviting names of persons interested in a housing scheme for Burra. Only a few inquiries were received. The Trust will not build unless Burra needs homes and asks the Town Clerk and Mr Reg Davey to provide clear requirements promptly.
