Mt Bryan CWA Handicraft Day Includes Classes and Party Plans
The Mt Bryan CWA monthly meeting featured a Handicraft day with instruction in basket making twine seats mats broomstick weaving glove making Holbein stitchery picture work and pottery. A general meeting followed led by Mrs Thomas with apologies from Mrs Jefferies and others. Planning for the July 15 birthday party included hall decorations and trading table. guest speaker is the Warnes Group President. A cake competition and other contests were announced and prize results noted. Subscriptions for the next financial year will be accepted at the next meeting.

Burra Choral Society Concert Enthralls Mt Bryan Hall
The Burra Choral Society led by Mr Lindsay Thomas gave an excellent concert at Mt Bryan Hall on 18 June with Mr Clem Davey at the piano. The varied program pleased all, with a quartet by Jeffries and Jefferies, and four pieces by the conductor. Proceeds supported the Hall Trust Funds.

The Methodist Guild Ladies hosted a Social Afternoon on June 15 in the Church Supper Room. Participants sang the National Anthem, enjoyed songs by Miss Margaret Jefferies with organ accent by Miss Barbara Humphrys, and took part in competitions including guessing cake ingredients and shaping dough teeth. Prizes went to several, trading table sold goods, and Pauline Miller presented possession tokens to Jefferies Humphrys and Statton before a tea.
