Notice announces a sale item left at Kerr’s Store for collection by 6.12 noon on Monday with details blurred in the text. The reference to Allio’s Base and the date appears corrupted.
Instructions from Mr T J Kallio to auction the whole of his stock and plant. Sheep include 432 Merino ewes 1 year old 160 mixed lambs 2 tooth to full mouth 12 fat ewes and 134 mixed sex March 1948 drop. Stud Book Jersey cows and other cattle plus 2 horses a saddle pony and a draught gelding. Plant includes 20 foot HST Sunshine header many implements in good order and farming gear. Poultry 280 first year White Leghorn pullets and 160 second year hens. Hay and chaff and assorted furniture and household items also listed. Sale details unspecified.

The District Council of Burra Burra adopts the last previous assessment with necessary alterations and opens inspection at the District Office Burra. The Assessment Revision Committee will hear appeals at 9 20 a m on Monday 4 October 1948. Appeals must be filed by noon 2 October 1948 at the District Clerk’s office.
