Messrs Cummins and Franklin of Burra Cold Stores plan to open an aerated water factory soon. Production should start in about two months, pending water quality improvements. Burra water currently has seven solids per gallon and excess iron, but a new filtration and softening system aims to remove these, enabling manufacture locally with an expert producer overseeing initial output.

Leases Granted to Tennis Clubs at Burra Council Meeting
At the Burra Town Council meeting on 18 August, the Town Clerk reported approval to lease Lowe's reserve portion to Aberdeen Tennis Club for 21 seats and Part Section 10 to Kooringa Tennis Club for 14 years.
