Burnet Chamber of Commerce invites public ideas for community improvement in six focus areas at four roundtable sessions beginning June 3 at the Fair Barn. Six tables, each area led by chamber directors, will rotate for 10 to 15 minute discussions with voting on top ideas.

CB Radio Thefts Hit Marble Falls Homes Hard
City Marshal Reinhard Reed reports more than $1,000 in losses from three thefts between Thursday evening and Friday morning. Three citizen band radios and an antique rifle were taken from autos in Northwood Dr Rivercrest Apartments and Meadowlakes with entries through windows. Engines and serial numbers were not recorded by owners, hindering recovery. Reed suggests recording serial numbers and urges CB owners statewide to note IDs for deterrence.

BBQ To Honor Poage Friday
Burnet Chamber declares Friday Bob Poage Day honoring U S Representative W R Poage. Poage will speak at the Burnet Foundation Industrial Company annual membership barbecue at 7 p m in Industrial Park. He is recognized for aiding a federal Farmer's Home Administration grant that fed utilities to the park. The barbecue is open to all Industrial Foundation members and guests free of charge. A post meal briefing will describe the foundation and invite new members.
