Competition for the title of miss Highland lakes reaches its Peak soon As the miss Kingsland and Junior miss Kingsland pageants Are scheduled for saturday at the Kingsland country club followed by the miss Burnet Beauty pageant on Friday june 3 in the Burnet High school auditorium. Unfortunately the miss Buchanan dam Beauty pageant failed to materialize. A Lack of entrants forced the pageant to be cancelled. The miss Kingsland and Junior miss Kingsland pageants will Start saturday evening at 7 . At the Kingsland country club. Judges for the pageants Are mrs. Celia Ashley of Llano mrs. Dorothy Crockett of Marble Falls mrs. Donna Walters of san Antonio and or. And mrs. Powell Chariton of Sunrise Beach. The contestants in each division will be judged on appearance in a once piece bathing suit and a formal personality poise and Beauty. The miss Kingsland Winner and two runners up will compete in the miss Highland lakes pageant. The miss Burnet pageant will be held june 3 at 7 30 . In Marble Falls to Host to Quot Quot motorcyclists this weekend Burnet the Burnet county historical commission will meet tomorrow at 10 . In the Burnet Library. Discussion will be entered around historical markers for Burnet county. The old factory site in Marble Falls and the Toneyville cemetery near Fairland were the most recent Burnet county locations to receive Texas historical commission markers.
