Burnet Chamber Installs New Officers for 1976

John Hoover will be Burnet Chamber president for 1976 and has named committee chairs including Hank Payne and Chris DeSpain. New directors are Roy Murray Jesse Johnson Larry Tally and Bert Bronaugh with Murray as second vice president. Community leaders chart recreation and retail aims in Burnet

Charles Brinkley chairs the Recreation Committee pushing a community wide facility and neighborhood playgrounds using existing land. Bill Dilbeck leads the Retail Trade Committee to market Burnet as ideal for shopping with small town prices and service. Roy Murray serves as second vice president of the commerce group for 1976 with a biographical note tracing his moves from Kingsville to Lamarque and Menard and education at Southwest Texas State University.

Marble Falls Taxpayers Meet Tonight

Marble Falls taxpayers formed the Burnet County Good Government League to study school taxes and aging residents. The group chaired by E B Bowen will meet at 7 p m at the Highland Haven Real Estate Office to decide next meeting details and review candidates for the upcoming school board elections.

Kingsland Candidates Rex King and Drace Williams Vie for Llano County Precinct 3

Rex King 42 of Kingsland filed for Llano County Commissioner Precinct 3 opposing incumbent Drace Williams 52. King cites underrepresentation and poor roads in Nob Hill while Williams highlights military service, Civil Air Patrol, Lions Club and American Legion ties.

Kingsland Chamber Install Banquet Tonight

Kingsland The Kingsland Chamber of Commerce will hold its installation banquet tonight at the American Legion Hall.
