Box it u3o Dellas Texas 7235xxx water District election to be held in april of Council approves annexation by Marty Primeau Marble Falls overruling the protests of a handful of property owners the Marble Falls City Council approved a petition to Annex 40.9 acres of land South of the City limits at a special meeting Friday evening. The Council also decided to Call for an election on the takeover of the Marble Falls water control and improvement District no. I after hearing a petition which was submitted to the City Jan. 12. The annexation petition which includes a amp a and a amp a additions Lakeview trailer Park and adjoining property was presented to the City by Cliff bibles and other residents in late november and a Public hearing was held at the dec. 14 Council meeting. Leading the protest against the petition was property owner Jack Barrier who argued that the annexation Quot should be put to a vote of the people in the District Quot and offered to pay for the election. After the unanimous vote was taken with Alderman Duayne Michel absent. Mayor Dean chafes subdued Barrier by authorizing City manager Dick Zimmerman to arrange a meeting Between the City attorney and Barrier s lawyer. Barrier mrs. Landon Smith and the other property owners presented their own petition at the Jan. Taylor said Quot i am not actively running against Sally Williams but i am running for position mrs. Taylor is the wife of Paul j. She has served on the Burnet Parent teachers association for six years and was elected finance chairman this year. They have lived in Burnet for twelve years and Are the past owners of White Auto renovations to Burnet elementary school is one item that mrs. Taylor said she is concerned with. Taylor emphasized Quot we should be Able to talk about it together and decide what is ambulance problems to be aired Burnet a the first meeting of a committee of county residents who will discuss the county s ambulance service problems will be held at 7 . Tuesday in the Burnet county courthouse. The committee was approved by the Burnet county commissioners at their nov. 22 meeting at which Marble Falls City manager Dick Zimmerman presented a consultant s study indicating the need for ambulance service in the Marble Falls Granite Shoals area. At the first meeting we will introduce All the members identify the problem we have and try to get input from everyone Quot Zimmerman said. Selected by judge b.
