Burnet County Commissioners at the reg ular session appointed Mrs G L Jones to the County Orary Board replacing Mrs Agnes Hefner. The 1975 Burnet County Livestock Show and Sale totaled 44 636 07 with buyers plentiful despite a weaker cattle market. Grand Champion Steer weighed 1 080 pounds and sold for 1 566. Hoover Builders and Supply bought the steer at 145 per pound. Vicki Ebeling showed the champion.

Burnet City Council Approves Garbage Truck Purchase

Intermediate School Opening Set For Jan 20
After a complete tour of the new Burnet Junior High School officials agreed to start classes Monday January 20. The board accepted the building with minor odds and ends to be finished. The tornado damaged Burnet area led to insurance funds and a disaster grant funding the 1,026,050 facility with 40,000 square feet and modern features. Open house will follow the tour and meeting.
