Thursday Jan. 13 in the High school Annex. Although coach Johnny Kola Cekus contract does not expire until next year Board members indicated that they will discuss the football situation in executive session. School Board president Jerry Edwards said that despite rumours which have been circulating following a disappointing season for the Mustangs the Board has not made any decisions or discussed the coaches future. Kolacek s contract contains a reassignment clause which would allow the Board to reassign the coach if they wish said trustee Joe Dockery but none of the Board members would comment on their feelings. Gates Steen an attorney with Gates Steen and associates of Austin made a presentation of the firms services at the dec. 6 meeting of the school Board following a recommendation by the Board of equalization that the school District attempt to collect a greater percentage of Back and delinquent taxes. The attorney told the Board that his firm could raise the and Valorme tax collection rate to 94-96 per cent per year from the approximately 85 per cent which the District has been collecting in the past. In executive session at the beginning of the meeting 6 30 pm the Board will consider extending the contracts of the three High school principals which expire this year. The trustees will conduct yearly evaluations of principals Truett Mobley High school Kenneth Moore intermediate and Robert Shirley elementary school. Insurance policies for the school District will be reviewed for the coming year and Hundley indicated that bids will be taken for those which will expire this year. The trustees will also decide which school vehicles can be sold when the new school bus arrives and review policies dealing with instruction Humphreys rehired Burnett George Humphreys a former Burnet county sheriffs Deputy presently living in Houston has been hired to i replace Deputy Jim Parker who left the department dec. 30, sheriff Wallace Ridden told the bulletin.
