Burnet County Bulletin Expands to Twice Weekly Publication

The Burnet County Bulletin will switch from a Sunday tabloid to a full twice weekly newspaper publishing on Thursdays and Saturdays. Present subscribers receive both editions at no extra cost until renewal in January, then $7.50 annually. January new subscriptions stay at $5.25. Some Thursday features move to Saturdays, so readers may see favorites in the new schedule.

Burnet County hosts 10th Annual Livestock Show this weekend

Burnet County prepares for a two day livestock show with 55 steers 131 lambs 108 hogs 37 pens of broilers 44 pens of rabbits 27 turkey hens 11 turkey toms and 20 breeding sheep. The sale and judging run Friday and Saturday with entries from Burnet Bertram and Marble Falls and prizes already won at earlier events.

Officials Receive $60,000 Grant for Burnet Park Utilities

Burnet Industrial Foundation officials accepted a $60,000 matching grant from Farmers Home Administration to fund water and sewer improvements for the 100 acre Burnet Industrial Park. Accidental Death Ruled in Bulletin Employee's Dying

Bill Brame, a Burnet Bulletin employee, died Saturday at the Lazy Daze Motel in Lake Buchanan one day into his new job as an advertising representative. Officials ruled accidental death by asphyxiation due to an unvented gas heater. final ruling pending tests. Brame, 22, graduate of the University of Texas, had recently moved from Dallas where he grew up and worked in a trainee program at Eckerd Drugs. He is survived by his parents and a sister in Dallas. Services were held in Dallas with local arrangements in Llano.

Cecil J. Rhoades Jr 36 former Austin patrolman entered the Burnet County sheriff race in the Democratic primary. He faces incumbent Wallace Riddell 76 and R. C.
