Young Man In ICU After Lone Car Crash Near Burnet
David D. Hines, 20, remained in serious condition at Brackenridge Hospital in Austin after a December 1 single vehicle crash on Highway 29 near Park Road 4. His Oldsmobile Cutlass rolled several times, was severely damaged, and he was treated in Burnet before being airlifted to the Austin hospital.

Burnet County deputies report $2,000 worth of rifles and pistols stolen from a storage trailer on Maurice Bible's Smithwick ranch. The burglary occurred Sunday night or Monday, two suspects used a broken lock, a fire lit inside, and two foot print sets, one bare and one shod, were found along the sandy road.
