Man charged in wife’s death in Buchanan Dam
Roy Allen Hargrave 55 of Long Mountain Estates Buchanan Dam is jailed on $10,000 bond after being charged with murder in the shooting of his wife Helen Frank Hargrave 57 at their residence Saturday around 4 p m. She was hit once in the chest by a .38 caliber pistol according to Llano County Sheriff Gale Ligon. No witnesses are known.

Tragedy at Lake Marble Falls Claims Three Campers
Three campers from Ft Hood drowned while wading below Wurtz Dam on Lake Marble Falls. Victims Edward Barnes 10 Sgt Ray M Harvey 39 and David Lindsey 14 died as fast water swept them away. Searchers recovered Lindsey and Harvey Saturday afternoon Barnes body found Sunday morning.
