Alvin Kramer Taken To Mason City Hospital
Alvin Kramer of the Carl Christ farm near Lakota fell ill last Saturday. He was treated in Buffalo Center and rushed to Park Hospital Mason City for perforated ulcers. He improved briefly then developed peritonitis and delirium. His family traveled to Mason City. no further report available at press time.

Miss Vander Kraan led a lesson on My Most Becoming Print Dress with prints for different personalities, sleeve pattern ideas, trims and pockets, and a house dress apron and garden hat pattern cut. A follow up lesson is planned for Friday May 6 at Mrs Irwin Wessela's home. Hit and run kills three children near Fonda Iowa
A hit and run driver struck and killed Madonna Nagel six and Vern Nagel aged unknown en route to school west of Bradford corner on the Dodge-Sioux City route. The two other Nagel children were at home preparing for school as the accident occurred. The victims were children of Mr and Mrs Will Nagel five miles south of Tonda in Calhoun County.

Car Crash Injures Clifford Jacobson Near La Kota
Clifford Jacobson of Bricelyn sustained severe head injuries after his car struck a bridge west of La Kota on Sunday evening while traveling east on Highway No. 9. He was brought unconscious to Dalmage hospital in Buffalo Center, treated, and remained unconscious until Monday afternoon. He is now reported to be improving as the damaged end of the car is noted.

Last Wednesday evening Miss Margaret Schlitz and Hubert Hood suffered severe burns when a piece of celluloid on the car floor ignited after a lighted match dropped by Hood. Schlitz jumped from the car and both occupants were badly burned. they were rushed to Bancroft for treatment and Schlitz remains unable to walk.
