Dairy Supervisor Reports May Herd Test Totals

Kenneth Bassett of the Dairy Herd Improvement Association reports for May that 24 herds totaling 361 cows were tested. Average production per cow including dry cows was 34 pounds of butterfat and 25 pounds of milk.

Buffalo 4 H Boys Inspect Projects Tour

Buffalo Township 4 H Livestock Club members toured farms Friday June 18 to inspect dairy calves baby beeves hogs and beef heifers. Participants included Art Beekman Ray Ostrander Kenneth Potter Donald Potter Peter Van Gerpen Ruby Berryhill and others with judges at Vegge farm doing beef cattle judging and a hoof trimming demo.
