Conspiracy ruled out in Ford death attempt
U S attorney said no evidence of a conspiracy in the Ford assassination attempt by Lynette Fromme, a Manson follower. Fromme, 27, was held on $1 million bail after pushing a pistol toward Ford outside the California State Capitol. At Pine Hole Farm visitors watched a calf birth and met cattle and horses while organizers reported 370 guest book signings by noon and an expected 700 plus visitors by day’s end.
