Man Guilty Of Charges In Bucks County Case
Albert R. Creely of 1567 Virginia Ave. Cornwells Heights pleaded guilty to drunken driving and two counts each of failing to stop and to identify himself after a July 19 1967 auto crash at Street Road and Route 95 in Bensalem Township. He was sentenced to 62 to 11 months in Bucks County Prison and awaits a hearing on driving while suspended.

Theft Suspects Identified After Local Residency Revealed

Farmers urged to withhold grain to set price
Richard Sumpken of the National Farmers Organization told over 200 Bucks County farmers that controlling 15 to 20 percent of the grain supply could force market pricing. Peter Murphy of Tidewater Grain Co. supported the plan, saying his firm would pay $1.50 per bushel if farmers hold out. The Bucks NFC grain committee organized the act as an intermediate step toward a nationwide master contract, moving toward voluntary then compulsory participation as contracts form. Eight nonmembers signed up at the meeting in Doylestown, with NFO aiming to extend bargaining to milk and meat nationwide.

Woman Died of Overdose in Levittown Home
Medical examiners reported 52-year-old Sarah Mayer of Levittown died from barbiturate overdose. Bristol Township Police Chief Harry G. Merker said there was no foul play. Mayer’s body was found in her bedroom after noon on Tuesday while her husband Lester, 56, was returning from a hospital. Teenage Girls Hurt In Bristol Bus Crash
Fourteen teenage Philadelphia girls among 51 passengers on a charter bus were injured when the bus rear ended a tractor trailer at Routes 13 and 413 in Bristol Town.
