Cotton ginning in Brazos falls far below last year

Joe F. Howard, statistician for the Bureau of Census, reports cotton ginned in Brazos before September 1 totals 3,713 bales with round bales counted as half. Last year 1923 saw 8,104 bales. The decline is blamed on a late spring and crop shortages in the area.
