Grain Steamer Leave Galveston

Galveston Tex Sept 10 The only development in the trade situation yesterday was the sailing of the steamships Rygja and Ardmount for Valencia and Falmouth with 420 000 bushels of wheat. This makes over 1 560 000 bushels of grain to leave this port this month and prospects are for 5 000 000 to 6 000 000 bushels in September. The Santa Fe Railroad embargo has not been lifted and grain arrivals are curtailed. The port is not receiving the expected grain given vessels awaiting cargo and it is unfair that grain be diverted to other markets when the elevators at Galveston are not working more than half time. Despite bad conditions the season will be the best the port has known.
