Mrs. Julia Wipprecht, in her eightieth year, died after four months of suffering at her home on 29th Street. Father J. B. Gleissner officiated at the 4 p.m. funeral at the Wipprecht home and grave in City cemetery. She was survived by two sons Rudolph and Walter and two daughters Ida Japhet and Elseth Wipprecht.

Captain John Douglas Daly a respected Bryan resident died at home at 1 30 this morning after a year of declining health. Born in New York City on March 17 1851 he came to Bryan in 1874 and built Daly Dry Goods. He served on the city council and as city recorder and was active in St Joseph Church A C U W Knights of Pythias and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by four children and several grandchildren. Funeral set for tomorrow with requiem at St Joseph Church and burial in the family plot.
