Brazos County Commissioners Court approved selling 100000 bridge bonds to Sutherlin Barry Company of New Orleans for par plus accrued interest and a 500 premium. Bonds run 40 years with a 10 year option. Competitive bids ranged from 90 to the sale figure. County to cover bond printing costs and transfer arrangements proceed.

Funeral services held for Rev. E W Tarrant 79
Rev. E W Tarrant who died Saturday at high noon was honored in a service at First Methodist church. The Confederate veteran and educator served as Brenham schools superintendent and later state orphan home head. He was a U C V division commander and lay member of the Masons. He is survived by family and was buried beside his wife in Brenham.
