The United Salvage Company absorbs unsold Sam B Wilson stock and launches the Most Marvelous Sale of Dry Goods. It opens Saturday May 9 at 9 A M under Sam B Wilson and staff with ten selling days of bargains. Offers include $100 cash for any advertised item not in stock at opening and 50c to dollar pricing on newly purchased stock.
Introduction of United Salvage Co into Bryan with a sale of over 100 pattern hats from a Texas millinery house at less than half price. Hats priced between 1.97 and 6.79, plus close-out Messalin Petticoats at 2.69, with sheer fabrics and new shades. caps limit two per customer at 93 and 1.27 each.
The United Salvage Company announces a historic sale on Men s and Boys pants. Men s Spring Weight pants from 1 96 to 2 45 with high class tailoring, while Boys pants from 46c to 93c cover woolens and full peg models, all at unprecedented low prices.
In Bryan a store offers 500 Men s Fine Madras Silk and Pongee Sample Shirts at half price. Sizes range 15 to 16 1 2 with Madras shirts 75 cents and other fabrics up to 1 69. Includes 900 Madras and 900 Silk shirts plus blue work shirts and overalls priced near one dollar. Limit three shirts per customer.
The department offers bargains on wool and fancy dress fabrics. 36 inch pure wool French serge and 44 inch all wool serge priced low with half price per yard, including storm serge and novelty dress goods at reduced rates.
Buyers offered special lots of Crepe Dresden and wash dress goods at low prices. Dresden Dress Crepes start at 15 cents per yard, Dress Crepes at 20 cents, Beautiful Dress Crepes at 25 to 18 cents, Serpentine Kimona Crepes at 12 to 25 cents, and Novelty Dress Goods at 13 cents per yard.
