Captain J P Boyett Remembered In Bryan Funeral
Capt. Thomas Pinkney Boyett died May 1 at his Bryan home after weeks of illness. A Texan born 1845 he served in the Fifteenth Texas Infantry and later worked as a cowboy and ranch foreman. He married Mary Wicker in 1870 and left seven children, two sisters and a brother. A large funeral procession followed his burial at the local cemetery with judges, soldiers, and townsfolk paying respects.
