Bathhouse Construction Begins Next Week at Country Club

Work starts next week on the Bryan Country Club bathhouse and swimming pool. The building committee ordered materials and labor, with Portswood Gravel of Waco donating a carload of gravel and local lumber yards supplying lumber and cement at cost. The project includes a concrete walk around the 30 by 100 foot pool, pergola shading, a 12 by 46 foot bathhouse with eight rooms per gender plus a general room, showers, toilets, and planned sewer, with water from a well and electric pump. The keeper's lodge at the gate will be a one-room stucco office. Committee members are J. Doane, J. Saunders, R. W. Howell, and Amar Bethea. Golf links work has funds and is under way for member access soon.
