New Sunday School Room for Free Baptist Church

A 16 by 40 foot frame Sunday school room, located on the church parking lot between the main building and South Sterling Avenue, will be dedicated next Sunday. The movable partition divides into two classrooms, each seating about 60. Last Sunday about 55 to 60 attended despite incomplete finish.

Texas Supreme Court upholds the state anti pass law and the free railroad pass classifications in a 1915 case brought by the state against Texas railroads. The ruling affirms the state’s position that the classification was not discriminatory.

Nine Expulsions At S M A Result Of The Savage Lake Party

Dallas Apr 30 Expulsion of nine students and suspension of twenty five others, all young men, followed the Southern Methodist University's discipline committee investigation into a liquor party at Savage Lake near Dallas on April 9 and the anonymous Dinkey paper of April 12. Twenty two others were placed on probation for the remainder of their college career. No girls were involved. The committee will continue its inquiry if charges arise. President Charles C Selecman announced the findings after faculty discussion and said names would not be made public.

Indiana Governor Retires Then Sentenced to Prison

Warrent McCray, who retired today as governor of Indiana, was sentenced by the Federal Court to serve 10 years in the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary on a charge of using the mails in the furtherance of a scheme to defraud. He was convicted Monday and resigned yesterday, effective at 10 o'clock this morning.

Son Given Ten Years Murdered Father

Cameron April 30 Dock Glover aged 18 found guilty in district court of murder in the death of his father near here. He was sentenced to 10 years in the penitentiary. The elder Glover was killed with a shotgun as he slept at his home at Jones Prairie. Witnesses testified the father had mistreated the boy.
