A Bry an citizen urges better civic cleanliness by curbing advertising paper in cars. He notes many homes empty their car trash onto streets and suggests keeping paper until home or enforcing an ordinance against in-car distribution.
Rev. Jess Lee arrives in Bryan to lead the prayer meeting at the Methodist church tonight at 8. Houston visitors Mrs. W. O. Williams and son Ww. O. Jr. join H. H. McCain family. Clarence La visitors Mrs. W. E. Duckelman and Walter Ed mond Jr. stay this week. Don Lee of Austin, Portland Cement Association rep, works with College Station on new Athletic Stadium concrete. Rain begins at 2:30 pm with 20 inch by 3 pm. Mrs. T. K. Lawrence leaves for Asheville to join sister Edith Moore for a Canada trip. Moore owns island home with boats and gardens. C. A. Neblette of A. and M. College leaves for Penn State chemistry institute July 4-31 then to Cambridge for astrography work.
The Bryan Pastor's Association announces July union services on Sunday nights with five pastors leading at different churches: July 3 Rev. T. G. Watts at the Methodist church, July 10 Rev. H. H. McCain at the Presbyterian church, July 17 Rev. A. F. Ainsworth at College Avenue Baptist, July 24 Rev. H. H. McCain at Free Baptist, and July 31 Rev. T. G. Watts at First Baptist.
The Eagle reports for Bryan and vicinity a forecast of partly cloudy skies tonight and Thursday with mild conditions.
Hood's Brigade Association and Green's Brigade gathering in Bryan concludes a two day reunion with officers named, committees formed, and memorials planned. Veterans, local clubs, and sponsors receive thanks as speakers reflect on Confederate service and enduring camaraderie.

Dempsey Kemp 82 year old Confederate veteran died in Jackson Mississippi and his body was sent to Cameron Texas for burial. He served in the Louisiana legislature and the Twenty-Ninth Louisiana Regiment in the Civil War. Kemp lived in Houston and was traveling home from the Confederate Reunion in Tampa Florida.
Boston June 29 Governor Fuller granted a 30 day reprieve to Nicola Sacco and Bartholomeo Vanzetti amid international attention their murder convictions had their execution scheduled for the week of July 10.
Commander Richard Byrd and three crew members launched the monoplane America from Roosevelt Field at dawn in a long delayed scientific expedition toward France. The three motor Fokker left the runway at 5 24 eastern daylight time amid weeks of bad weather, with Byrd Acosta Neville and Balchen aboard.
Louisburg Nova Scotia June 29 The America left the coast at 1 30 p m EDT heading to Newfoundland with clear conditions and Commander Byrd reporting all systems functioning.
Hood's and Green's brigades members were hosted at a Bryan Lions Club luncheon with a menu from Episcopal churchwomen and old songs. Samuel Eberstadt led the program with new member announcements A F Ainsworth D B Gregory and H L Durham joining. Treasurer M M Erskine re-elected.
New York city hall hosts Governor Dan Moody and a Texas business delegation of over 100. Mayor James Walker welcomed them after welcoming Ambassador Herrick. Moody spoke on reduced sectionalism, noting trade unites regions. The day ended with a look at the America aircraft at Roosevelt Field.
A W Tabor of Austin superintendent of the Confederate Home visits for the reunion. He led the home for two years and is the first son of a Confederate veteran to hold the post. His father and four uncles served in the Confederate Army. Born in Milam county Cameron he trained in newspaper work on Williamson County Sun. Since his tenure, 129 soldiers buried and 164 received at the home. Population now 332 men and 35 women.
Oklahoma outlaw Matthew Kimes left Amarillo today en route to McAlester penitentiary in company with Sheriff John Russell of Okmulgee and two deputies who spent the night in the city jail.
Mothers are reminded that the infant and pre school health conference to be held at the court house Thursday afternoon, June 1, is the last of its kind in Bryan until September. Free physical exams will be given to all children under 7 who attend. Refreshments will be served. Brazos County Health Committee.

The telegrams convey veteran support from W T Roe and wife Austin Lon A Smith John B Hood Homer D Wade Decca Lamar West and families. They express regret at absence and send love and blessings to Hood's and Green's Brigades Association and Bryan's celebrants.
The Interstate Commerce Commission granted permission to the Panhandle Santa Fe railroad to build 21 miles of new line from Whitedeer to Roxana in Texas. The $2,000,000 project will serve oil territory and expand rail access.
Prof J B Bagley announces eight reels of motion pictures on cotton from growing to marketing will be shown free in the Assembly Hall College Station Thursday night at 7 o'clock. The films, sent by the U S Department of Agriculture, include John Doe's Cotton and Yours Cotton Manufacture and Cotton Growing and Marketing. Bryan and campus people and students are invited.
A Saturday event at the Livingston courthouse drew the county’s biggest turnout and entries for the Polk County Club contest. Sixty six girls competed in the clothing contest overseen by Miss Opal Robertson with prizes including trips and tuition to the farmers short course at A and M College. Scholarships funded by the Polk County Chamber of Commerce and local officials were awarded to winners like Fay Grimshaw and Vivian Gay Pullen.
In Estherville Iowa the box placed in the corner stone of the old Masonic temple in 1889 was opened after 38 years. The temple was torn down and the box has been kept by North Star Lodge No 447. Contents mainly papers were found extremely well preserved.
Austin June 29 Addition al oil royalties of 3348 from the Southern Pipe Line Tuesday and 6607 from Magnolia Petroleum company Monday brought the total revenue from this source to 234305 for the month of June, figures from the office of J. T. Robison State Land Commissioner show.
Dallas reports preparations for a bankers and farmers conference to be held at College Station on July 25 and 26. It is hosted by the Texas Bankers Association agricultural committee and Texas A and M officials. William A. Philpott Jr. is secretary. The event marks the fifth conference since 1920 with special rail rates and plans to attract many country bankers and farmer customers. The annual farmers short course will run at A and M College concurrently with E. S. Holland of Houston presiding.
