In Niagara Falls Ontario on June 16 mediation progressed as Mexican Delegate Rabasa said Huerta rejected that ex Senator Towne represents him in Washington. Thirty five Bryan businessmen from various firms rode the new interurban car from the Houston & Texas Central depot to inspect the 24 mile Bryan and Central Texas Interurban line. The six hour afternoon trip included several ten minute stops for merchants to meet and mingle during the sightseeing journey.

The Trinity and Brazos Valley Railroad, a major North South Texas link between Dallas Fort Worth and Galveston and Houston, entered receivership in Dallas. J W Robbins, president and GM, was named receiver after Old Colony Trust Company of Boston filed as bondholders trustee alleging $8,760,000 in default plus $1,000,000 owed. The action was characterized as friendly.

Shooting injures two children of touring family near Wellborn

A party of tourists en route from Eagle Lake to Colorado Springs was fired upon by George Bell near Wellborn. Frances McClanahan and Clare McClanahan were wounded by shotgun pellets. Dr Otto Ehlinger treated the injuries at College Station before the group continued to Bryan. Bell was arrested and jailed for mental examination. The family and companions continued their trip. injuries described as not serious.
