The program featured readings music games and an old time spelling match followed by ice cream cones.

Fire destroys Southeastern Oil plant in Tennessee

A fire at 9:30 this morning destroyed the Southeastern Oil Company plant in Chattanooga and damaged nearby property. Authorities estimate the loss at one hundred thousand dollars. the blaze began when an oil truck engine was left running during loading.

Tremont Woman Injured In Auto Wreck Near College Boulevard

Mrs. M. J. Tremont and her nine months old son were in a Ford sedan when they collided with a parked car in front of the M. J. Bullock home.
