Maloney inspected the work and found it satisfactory. Taylor Boy Killed En Route to College in Memphis

Fire Wagon Crashes En Route to Alarm in Dallas Street

A fire alarm last night near South Dallas street caused by burning trash at the Beard home led to a wreck of Protection Company No. 1's wagon. The wagon struck a two foot ditch on Washington avenue near the Presbyterian Church, breaking the tongue and rigs. Driver G. C. Calhoun was bruised but not seriously hurt. other firemen escaped with light injuries. The buggy of Mrs. Fannie Greeland was damaged. wagon out of service until repairs.

NO LIGHT PLANT IN TEMPLE

Temple Texas is now without an active light and power plant after Texas Power and Light completed high power transmission lines from Waco to Taylor. The local plant is shut down and kept only for reserve use. The central plant in Waco now supplies power to towns between Waco and Taylor.
