Reeves Family Murder Charged to Henry Waller

In Minden Louisiana on Christmas night Henry Waller a 33 year old farmer planned and carried out the murder of John Nelson Reeves his wife and three children. Three black men allegedly aided and confessed to the crime saying they were components of Wallers plot. The suspects were moved to Baton Rouge for safety after arrest.

Freight Steamship Chicago City Stopped by Submarine

The British freight steamship Chicago City, en route from Bristol to New York, was fired on and halted by a German submarine December 14, about 120 miles off Fastnet.
