Senate agriculture committee approved the Norbeck-Bulow resolution to supply up to 5 000 000 bushels of Farm Board wheat to relieve hunger in the Northwest. Funeral Service Held Sunday for Mrs Forson
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon for Mrs Modesty Rice Forson of Franklin. She died in her sleep Friday night after long illness. The service was led by Rev. Wallace with Rev Wannaburger assisting. Born September 28, 1852 she was the last of eight Rice children. She married J. T. New Trial Granted for Youth Guilty in Murder Case
In Austin on February 24, the Court of Criminal Appeals reversed and remanded the death sentence of 17 year old John L. Green of Medina County for the murder of Frank Kempf. The court said the trial erred by accepting Green’s guilty plea after he stated he did not intend to kill Kempf and that his prior confession was not voluntary.
