At the first Baptist church Rev. R E Day conducted the funeral for Miss Laula Elsie Tabor. Floral tributes filled the pulpit area as Mrs H Boatwright played organ music. The service included Psalm 23 and a tribute by Mrs Albert Buchanan, with pallbearers named and Honorary mourners listed.

James Cahill Dies After Illness at Smetana Home

James Cahill dies after a two to three month illness at his Smetana home. Born August 20, 1868 in Millican Texas he lived in Bryan and Smetana his entire adult life. Survived by his wife Rosa Makoskie Cahill and seven children, his brother John McNeray of Reagan, Arkansas nieces and nephews will attend the Friday funeral at 4:00 pm with burial on the Cahill homestead.
