Mrs Ethel Mae Cornelius Tucker aged nearly 29 wife of H O Tuck of Bryan died Tuesday afternoon in Bryan Hospital after a week of illness. She was born April 9 1895 in Blunt county Alabama and moved to Texas as a child. Funeral services will be held Thursday at Eustace with burial beside relatives. Survived by husband two children Lula Mae 10 Louis Vernon 8 parents Alfred and Mrs Cornelius of Eustace one sister Mrs J Hancock Alvin Texas and five brothers Ollie Carter Leon C L and Cecil Cornelius of Eustace.

Alfred Rahnert aged 4 years 6 months 6 days died at the family home in Kurten after a lingering illness. He is survived by parents Mr and Mrs Fritz Rahnert two sisters and three brothers all of Kurten. Funeral services were held at the family home in Kurten conducted by Rev J J Kasiski and burial was in Kurten Cemetery under McCulloch Gordon Co funeral directors.

Sam Meringo Home Raid Seizes Ten Gallons Red Whisky
Four miles north of Bryan on the Cameron Ranch, a dozen officers found ten gallons of red corn whisky in a clothes box at Sam Meringo’s home. Meringo was away. his wife and children were present. The whisky was seized and placed in sheriff’s custody as the grand jury investigates. J. S. Williams of Cross was trading in Bryan today.
