Millican Woman S. E. Hempfling Dies at Home
Mrs. S. E. Hempfling died Friday at 9 45 am at her Millican home after a long life begun in Caledonia Mississippi 1847. She moved to Texas in 1872 and married George Hempfling in 1874 leaving two children Charles Hempfling of Minnesota and Mrs Lillie Edwards of Kingsville. Interment followed Saturday at Wheat Cemetery with Rev E Binford officiating. She was held as a Christian matriarch in Brazos County and deeply mourned by neighbors.
