Boatwright Home Destroyed By Disastrous Fire

Fire damaged the Boatwright residence of H O Boatwright president of the First National Bank on Sunday afternoon. The roof and second story were destroyed while the family dined. Firefighters under Chief C E Jenkins saved the main building though water damage and furniture loss were heavy. Insurance valued at $6,500 on a $15,000 home.

Fox Hunters of Jefferson Plan December Meeting

Mr. Ed S. Wickes received the official notice of the Texas Fox and Wolf Hunters Association at Jefferson from December 12 to 18. Rev. B. B. Crimm is president with E. T. Roseborough as secretary. Wickes says two silver cups will be awarded after the chase and thirty prizes will be given to lucky hunters. Wickes invites prospective fox or wolf hunters to join the annual chase.
