Mark Phillips Buried in Millican After Waco Death
Mark Phillips who died Friday morning in Waco was buried in Millican on Sunday at his wife’s home. The funeral drew a large crowd and Rev. Massey of Navasota delivered the tribute, praising Phillips as upright and exemplary. He formerly worked in Navasota, later for Cole Hardware and Waco Ice, and died after being crushed between cars. He was 32 or 33, childless, and his wife, Miss Johnson of Millican, attended the service with her brothers.

The Rev Horace Edwin Hayden A M father of Professor Hayden of the A and M college died at his home in Wilkes Barre Pennsylvania on August 22 He was born in Catonsville Maryland in 1837 served four years in the Confederate army and was ordained a priest in 1868 Since 1879 he was connected with St Stephen's parish Wilkes Barre and for 25 years served as correspondence secretary and librarian of the Wyoming Valley Historical and Geographical Society He is survived by his wife Miss Kate E B Byers of Hancock Maryland and by his son Horace Edwin Hayden Jr of College Station Texas.
