Two Hundred Mexican Soldiers Drowned in Gulf Sinking

An Associated Press report from Los Aneles states that two hundred Mexican soldiers from the Guaymas garrison were drowned when a Mexican government transport barge sank in the Gulf of California Sunday night. The barge, towing horses and military equipment, was moving from Point Elisabeth to Labolsa Sonora, in tow of a government tug.
