Can We Afford to Pass This Opportunity for Roads
Bryan and Brazos County residents voted to organize a permanent road bond program aiming to issue 1.25 million dollars in bonds over 40 years. The plan allocates 600k to the State Highway Department for concrete paving on Highways 6 and 21 and three new bridges, 150k for lateral roads, and retirement of past road bonds. The program promises modern paving, bridges, and countywide road improvement, funded by a tax increase and existing motor-vehicle revenue.
