President Harding Reviews Victorious Atlantic Fleet

Fatal Accident Ends Life of Miss Nettie Locke

Miss Nettie Locke, 29, daughter of T D Locke of the Tabor community, died in a barn shot gun incident while reportedly shooting rats at daybreak. The funeral was held at the family home and she was buried at Beckham cemetery. Survived by her father, three sisters Della, Minnie Locke and Mrs Bond Francis, and one brother Fred Locke. Local Baptist member described her as a noble girl and Christian.

Memorial Service for Dr West at First Presbyterian

A memorial service for Dr James D West will be held at the First Presbyterian church Sunday at 11 AM. The sermon will be by Dr G T Storey of Bay City. West, Civil War veteran and former Bryan pastor, died suddenly at 82 after returning with his daughter to Pensacola. Surviving children include Dr G E West of Memphis and daughters Mrs F L Allen Newton and Mrs R P Reese Pensacola.
