German Raider Seeks Atlantic Waters and Sinks Nine Ships
Rio de Janeiro reports a German raider, named Sea Adder, operating like the Moene, has reached the South Atlantic and sunk nine merchantmen. The French bark Cambronne met the raider March 7, and carried 285 survivors to Brazil after the sunken vessels’ crews were transferred.
