Washington April 3 A dispatch from Ambassador Sharp says nine teen survivors from the Aztec were landed yesterday at Brest and twenty eight persons are still missing and their rescue doubtful because of a heavy sea and storm.

Mail Boxes To Be Placed Citywide

Assistant Postmaster Cloud told the Eagle that a bill of lading has been received for thirteen mail boxes to be installed in various city areas. They will include Main street spots for business and residential districts for public use, with one at the H and T C depot where mail will be collected by the train mail clerk. The boxes are expected to greatly ease city mail handling and mark a shift toward city ways.

The Brazos County Free Baptist Sunday School Institute met at Edge on March 30 and 31 with 34 representatives. Rev Daly of Weatherford attended with others including Prof Bethany and Benson of Bryan. Officers elected: N C Nelson Kurten president J K Henry Edge vice president Grace Gandy Wellborn treasurer. Next session planned in Kurten before the second Sunday in July.

Mrs. Susan La Salle Dead in Bryan

Mrs. Susan La Salle, 71, died Tuesday at 3 40 p m at the home of her sister-in-law Mrs George Pletzer in eastern Bryan after a brief illness attributed to heart failure. She leaves four sons and two daughters. Funeral services were at 2 o'clock this afternoon from Mrs Pletzer's home with burial at Wixon church cemetery conducted by Rev J M BiMock.

California Tragedy Leaves Three Dead in Hanford Court

In Hanford California L P Denny a businessman killed Justice of the Peace George Meadows attorney E T Cooper and a third man Wiley in Meadows court. Denny was later shot dead in the street by constable W J Hinds.

W N Heslip Dies at 82 in Caldwell Texas

W N Heslip died Wednesday morning at the family residence in Caldwell Texas. He was 82 and served as justice of the precinct for many terms and previously as county clerk for twenty years straight. He is survived by his widow and six children.
