Destructive Georgia Tornado Leaves Dozens Dead
A tornado struck Gainesville Georgia and New Holland on Monday causing at least eighty five deaths and extensive property loss. The storm razed cottages and damaged mills, with most fatalities among cotton mill workers. Emergency aid efforts spread from New York as flood relief donations were sought for inundation victims.

Mexican War Veterans hold Texas reunion in Fort Worth
The eighth annual gathering of Texas Mexican War Veterans met in Fort Worth with large attendance. President Finlay of Austin led the opening, with addresses by Mayor T. J. Powell and ex Governor Lubbock. Treasurer A. C. Hereford reported 46.65 dollars in the treasury and veterans, with wives, were served a luncheon by Fort Worth Stock Yards officers.
