Fire destroys Fort Washakie troop stable
A fire at Fort Washakie near Lander Wyoming consumed the troop stable of Troop F Tenth Cavalry. Fifty horses including large sorrel mounts were burned along with three mules and much saddlery. The horses were among the finest in the army.
