Authorities in Puerto Cae Venezuela report Knapp the murderer has confessed to an eight dollar robbery and other unspecified deeds. The confession ties him to a series of violent acts across the region.
Albert A. Knapp confessed to murdering five women and repeatedly assaulting others. He described choking victims in several locations, denied poisoning one, and said a violent urge compelled the killings. He faces first degree murder charges and fears lynching. His insanity claims and youth in correctional settings are noted as context.
Ten masked robbers battered in, bound and gagged the Joehlin family and a toddler and infant near Toledo. They demanded 20 000 dollars, bound and searched the home, escaped with 300 dollars and jewelry, and stayed five hours before leaving with threats to return for the money.
